JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Billing Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing billing processes, ensuring accurate invoicing, and maintaining financial records. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and the ability to work with various accounting software. The Billing Clerk will play a crucial role in supporting the financial operations of our organization.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Quicken, Sage, PeopleSoft) is preferred
• Strong understanding of financial concepts including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and corporate accounting principles
• Excellent data entry skills with attention to detail and accuracy (10 key typing)
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform account analysis and reconciliation tasks
• Familiarity with medical terminology and telemarketing practices is beneficial
• Effective negotiation skills for managing and resolving billing disputes
• Strong math skills with the ability to understand debits & credits
• Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills

• Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable functions
• Perform account reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial records
• Handle medical billing processes including CPT coding and ICD-10 terminology
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries related to billing issues
• general ledger maintenance
• Support financial analysis efforts by compiling data for reports on revenue cycle management
