Thatcher is hiring a Billing Coordinator III in our Salt Lake City, Utah office. Pay $25-$30 per hour About the Role Thatcher Company is seeking a senior-level Billing Coordinator III to support high-volume, complex customer billing operations. This role is responsible for managing strategic accounts, resolving escalated discrepancies, and ensuring accurate, compliant invoicing across plant and trucking operations. The ideal candidate brings strong contract-billing experience, attention to detail, and the ability to lead processes and mentor junior staff. Key Responsibilities Manage high-dollar, high-volume, or strategic customer billing portfolios Review complex contracts, including: Specialized pricing structures Fuel and freight escalators Contracted surcharges Tank fills, batch shipments, and bulk loads Issue credit memos, rebills, and advanced billing corrections Partner with Sales leadership to resolve pricing disputes and contract questions Support integration of plant and trucking billing into centralized processes Audit monthly billing for accuracy and completeness Ensure compliance with chemical and hazmat billing requirements Resolve escalated customer disputes and prepare documentation packages Train Billing Coordinators I & II and develop job aids and SOPs Support ERP upgrades and testing of new billing modules Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent with 4–6+ years of accounting or billing experience, or Associate degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field with 2–4+ years of accounting or billing experience Advanced understanding of billing workflows and contract invoicing Strong problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration skills Ability to interpret pricing agreements and customer contracts Knowledge of trucking-related charges (detention, demurrage, freight) Ability to maintain accuracy under tight deadlines ERP experience (SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, NetSuite) preferred Work Environment This position is performed in an in-person office environment with minimal exposure to hazards and a moderate noise level. The role requires extended periods of computer work and light physical activity, such as handling materials and performing repetitive hand movements. No travel is required.
