The Opportunity


An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Billing Assistant to join a growing firm in Sydney.

Working within an established billing team and reporting to the Billing Team Leader, you will play an integral role in supporting the Resolutions, Recoveries & Disputes team with day-to-day billing operations.

This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented administrator looking to further develop their experience in legal billing and finance support within a fast-paced environment.

You will be responsible for assisting with invoice generation, billing queries, trust and disbursement administration, while ensuring billing processes are completed accurately and within strict deadlines.

About the Role

As a Billing Assistant, you will:

  • Generate, review, edit and distribute invoices in line with client billing requirements and invoicing cycles
  • Assist with billing administration across a high-volume practice area
  • Respond to invoice and billing-related queries from internal stakeholders
  • Coordinate approvals and documentation relating to trust monies and disbursements
  • Maintain accurate billing records and documentation
  • Support Principals and legal teams with billing and financial administration
  • Ensure all work is completed accurately and within established deadlines
  • Contribute to the smooth operation of the wider billing function

About YouYou will ideally have:

  • Previous experience in billing, finance administration or legal administration
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and work autonomously
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Confidence communicating with internal stakeholders and clients
  • The ability to work to strict billing cycles and deadlines
