About the opportunity The role of the Billing Officer is to be responsible for various billing avenues across multiple systems at Mercy Hospital with professionalism and accuracy. You will require an understanding and oversight of all billing functions performed by the Billings and Receivables Understanding and knowledge of billing in the health industry Experience with billing functions Excellent communication and interpersonal skills What you’ll bring You’re resilient, compassionate and have a whole lot of heart. To thrive in this role, you will have: Must have hospital Billing experience Understanding of Medicare, Private health insurance and other funder requirements and processes Demonstrated experience in Hospital Billing systems / software packages (iPM, Comrad, Zedmed, Merlin, TechOne) Excellent organisational skills and the ability to meet competing deadlines. High-level attention to detail for maintaining databases, processing transactions, and ensuring data integrity. Accuracy and timeliness of creation of billing from various departments Managing level of unprocessed billing each month A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.
