Role Overview Whippy is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Billing & Operations Specialist to own and manage our billing, payment, and contract operations. This role is responsible for ensuring customers are billed correctly, payments are collected on time, contracts are honored, and revenue leakage is identified and resolved quickly. You will work closely with the CEO and the Head of Support, acting as the operational owner of billing workflows, payment follow-ups, contract compliance, and customer billing support. This is a proactive, execution-focused role with direct impact on company revenue and operational efficiency. Compensation On-Target Earnings (OTE): $2,000-$2,500 USD / month Base: $1,500 USD / month Variable: Performance-based $500-$1,000/month 🌎 Where You’ll Work Open to candidates based in Latin America Remote or hybrid work options available Strong preference for candidates able to work hybrid from our Buenos Aires office (WeWork Vicente López) Full English fluency required U.S. customer coverage on EST hours ⚡ What You’ll Do Own Billing & Payments Monitor billing systems (e.g., Stripe) for failed payments, overdue invoices, and expired payment methods Proactively follow up with customers regarding billing issues and outstanding balances Ensure billing information and payment methods are accurate and up to date Protect Revenue & Enforce Contracts Track customer contracts, payment schedules, and compliance Follow up with customers not honoring contract or payment terms Identify active accounts that are unpaid or past due and coordinate appropriate next steps Support escalation workflows when necessary Support Customer Billing Needs Respond to customer requests for invoices, receipts, tax documentation (e.g., W-9), and billing confirmations Assist customers with billing questions and payment updates Resolve billing discrepancies clearly and professionally Improve Operations & Visibility Maintain clear reporting on overdue balances, recovered revenue, and billing status Surface risks, trends, and issues to leadership proactively Help document and improve internal billing and contract workflows 🎯 What We’re Looking For Experience in billing, operations, accounts receivable, or a similar role (SaaS preferred) Comfortable following up with customers about overdue payments and billing issues Strong attention to detail and excellent follow-through Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills (English required) Experience working with billing platforms (Stripe or similar) and CRM tools Highly organized, proactive, and able to work independently Comfortable interfacing directly with leadership and cross-functional teams Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced startup environment 🙌 What We Offer Competitive compensation with clear base and OTE structure Direct collaboration with company leadership Ownership over a mission-critical operational function The opportunity to grow as Whippy scales A fast-moving environment where your work directly impacts revenue and company health
