Description

KAYAK, part of Booking Holdings (NASDAQ: BKNG), is the world’s leading travel search engine. With billions of queries across our platforms, we help people find their perfect flight, stay, rental car and vacation package. We’re also transforming business travel with a new corporate travel solution, KAYAK for Business.
As an employee of KAYAK, you will be part of a travel company that operates a portfolio of global metasearch brands including momondo, Cheapflights and HotelsCombined, among others. From start-up to industry leader, innovation is in our DNA and every employee has an opportunity to make their mark. Our focus is on building the best travel search engine to make it easier for everyone to experience the world.
KAYAK is looking for a Billing Operations Specialist! This blended role strikes a balance between operational execution and strategic system enablement. It ensures billing accuracy today - while also driving future automation to free up capacity and scale operations.
If you are a person who excels at both hands‑on billing work and identifying system‑based improvements that optimize efficiency and accuracy - we’d love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:

  • Execute global billing in line with customer contracts, generating invoices and credit notes accurately and on time.
  • Handle billing inquiries and resolve issues promptly while coordinating with teams like Sales and Customer Success.
  • Assist with month-end close activities, including revenue estimation, reconciliations, and compliance checks.
  • Monitor billing exceptions and collaborate with IT, Product, or Sales Operations to fix system issues.
  • Support automation projects to streamline billing workflows.
  • Analyze billing data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Maintain clear documentation and create training resources for billing processes.
  • Participate in audits and compliance activities related to billing controls.
