Our client is a fast-growing company in the construction industry looking for a Billing Specialist to join their fun, team-oriented environment. You’ll work closely with project teams to support billing functions that are essential to project success.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR BILLING SPECIALIST:

• 1+ years of billing, accounting, or finance experience required (construction industry experience is a plus)
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills — including formulas, troubleshooting, and basic analysis
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to manage deadlines and juggle multiple projects at once
• A team player with strong communication skills who enjoys collaborating across departments

• Prepare and process monthly billing packages, pay applications, and progress invoices based on project schedules and contract terms
• Partner with project teams to ensure accurate billing data, including tracking change orders and approved costs
• Reconcile job costs and identify over/under billings to ensure alignment with project status
• Monitor and follow up on accounts receivable, helping resolve any aged balances with internal teams
• Provide billing accruals and assist with monthly financial reviews and reconciliations
• Help track the financial performance of projects, identify discrepancies, and support cost review meetings
