Description

POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Healthcare Accounts Receivable (AR) Representative who will focus exclusively on patient account resolution. This role is responsible for communicating directly with patients regarding their balances, setting up payment arrangements, answering billing questions, and ensuring a positive financial experience throughout the revenue cycle. Unlike other AR positions, this role does not involve insurance follow-up or payer contact—it is strictly patient-facing.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in business, healthcare administration, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in healthcare billing, collections, or customer service (patient-facing strongly preferred).
  • Strong understanding of patient responsibility concepts (co-pays, deductibles, coinsurance, self-pay).
  • Excellent communication and active listening skills, with the ability to explain financial matters in a clear and empathetic manner.
  • Proficiency with practice management systems, EHR platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to handle sensitive financial and medical information with discretion.
  • Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills.
