The Billing Specialist is responsible for managing and executing the billing process accurately and efficiently, ensuring that all invoices are processed and sent to clients in a timely manner. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, organizational skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments. Key Responsibilities: Processing invoices in a timely manner based on contractual terms and services provided. Review and verify billing data for accuracy and completeness. Resolve billing discrepancies and disputes in a professional and timely manner. Maintain and update billing records and client accounts. Collaboration with the operations team to ensure proper documentation is received from our drivers. Assist in month-end closing and reconciliation processes. Answer phone calls and assist clients with billing inquiries and issues. Receiving and organizing incoming payments, verifying credibility, and posting payments in a timely manner. Update our system with payment information and other financial data. Notify clients of upcoming or missed payment deadlines. Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; experience with billing software is a plus. Perform other duties as assigned. High school diploma, GED, or equivalent; bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field preferred Basic understanding of billing principles At least 2 years of logistics or accounting experience preferred Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; experience with billing software is a plus.
