Trios Health Hospital Job Title: Billing Specialist Job Type: Full-time Wage Range: $16.66-$21.67 Reports to: Reports to: Director of Physician Service FLSA: Non-exempt Position Summary: Responsible for accounts receivable follow-up of assigned providers. Reviews Athena on a daily basis to ensure claim submission was successful and accepted by payer. Job Functions: * Responsible for accounts receivable follow-up of assigned providers. * Reviews Athena on a daily basis to ensure claim submission was successful and accepted by payer. * Responsible for communication with patient and/or physician offices regarding outstanding claims. * Position serves both internal co-workers and external customers, clients, patients, contractors, and vendors. * Access to and/or works with sensitive and/or confidential information. * Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of healthcare regulatory and compliance (e.g., HIPAA). * Skilled in the application of policies and procedures. Knowledge of Business Office Standards and Recommended Practices. * Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications * High school diploma required * Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. * Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Responsibilities

Responsible for accounts receivable follow-up and ensuring successful claim submissions via Athena. Communicates with patients and physician offices regarding outstanding claims while maintaining HIPAA compliance.
