Description The Billing Specialist is responsible for preparing and producing client invoices for services provided. BILLING SPECIALIST ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Process and electronically send a high volume of invoices to clients. Thoroughly review database job notes to ensure accurate billing of all services and products provided. Prepare payment to vendors. Communicate with Operations, A/R and A/P departments regarding transcript orders and client and vendor inquiries. Prepare draft invoices for client review. Responsible for accurate accounting documentation. Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies. Observe confidentiality of client data. Maintain and update job, client and vendor database records with billing-related information. Assist with special projects as needed. Perform other duties as assigned. BILLING SPECIALIST LOCATION: Fully Remote BILLING SPECIALIST SHIFT: Training Shift: 9:30am - 5:30pm EST Monday - Friday Permanent Shift once training is complete: 12:00pm - 8:00pm EST Monday - Friday BILLING SPECIALIST COMPENSATION: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour BENEFITS: Medical stipend Dental Vision Voluntary Term Life Insurance Voluntary Whole Life Insurance Voluntary Long Term Disability PTO Paid and Floating Holidays 401(k) Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Requirements Bachelor’s degree preferred and a minimum of 2 years in a customer service and/or billing environment.
