We are a growing, fast-paced, physician-led office that is a leader in our field looking for a detail-oriented and motivated full-time Billing Specialist. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate billing and timely reimbursement for healthcare services provided by our practice. Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and submitting accurate claims to insurance companies, government payers and patients
  • Reviewing patient accounts and verifying insurance coverages
  • Resolving claim denials, rejections and payment discrepancies
  • Posting payments and adjustments to patient accounts
  • Maintaining compliance with all federal and state regulations including HIPAA
  • Communication with patients regarding billing inquiries and providing excellent customer service
  • Collaboration with other team members to ensure efficient workflow

Requirements:
While prior experience in medical billing, coding, or healthcare administration is preferred; we welcome candidates with transferrable skills (i.e. experience in finance, accounting, or administrative roles requiring accuracy and compliance, proficiency in billing software, databases or other financial tolls) and a strong willingness to learn. Proficiency with Microsoft Suite and experience with EPIC or another electronic EMR system also preferred.
