Description Weiser Memorial Hospital--rated one of Idaho's best places to work--is actively recruiting for a Billing Specialist. This full-time role collaboratively works within the Patient Financial Services Department and is responsible for the billing process between the hospital and patients including insurance companies, federal agencies and third-party payers. This role audits patient accounts to ensure procedure, charges and coding accuracy, as well as collects payments from commercial insurance companies, state and federal agencies. Schedule: This is a full-time role, working Monday through Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Requirements High school graduate or equivalent. Proficiency in data entry using PC based software. Thorough understanding of different insurance plans, government agencies, Medicare and Medicaid. Previous billing experience. Excellent communication skills to include oral and written comprehension/expression. Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Ability and willingness to demonstrate and maintain competency as required for the job title and the unit(s) area(s) or assignment. Ability and willingness to exhibit behaviors consistent with principles of service excellence.
