Role Summary: The Billing Standardization Team Lead is responsible for establishing and leading Stallion’s standardized billing function, including billing execution for designated locations, standardization of billing processes across the organization, and overall ownership of billing performance.  The role ensures consistent, accurate, and timely billing execution while creating a scalable operating model to support company growth. This position partners closely with Operations, Finance, Sales, and IT to align billing processes with operational execution and financial objectives, and serves as the enterprise owner of billing standards, controls, and continuous improvement.   Role Priorities / Responsibilities:  Billing Standardization Execution * Lead billing execution for all new locations and designated existing locations (markets) * Ensure timely, accurate, and consistent invoice generation across markets * Oversee handling of complex, high-risk, and exception-based billing scenarios  Enterprise Billing Process Ownership * Define and implement standardized billing processes across all locations * Develop, maintain, and enforce SOPs, workflows, and billing standards * Establish contract readiness requirements to ensure billing accuracy * Develop playbooks for rapid onboarding of new locations Billing Performance & KPI Ownership * Audit and troubleshoot billing, collections, and administrative workflows to identify control gaps, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities * Own and monitor billing performance metrics, including: * Invoice timeliness * Billing accuracy * Credit/rebill rates * Billing-related impacts to DSO * Identify performance gaps and implement corrective actions   Organizational Design & Team Leadership * Build, lead, and scale the Billing Team * Define roles, responsibilities, and capacity models * Lead hiring, onboarding, training, and development of billing personnel * Drive a high-performance, accountability-driven culture    Cross-Functional Leadership (Q2C Integration) * Serve as the primary business owner for billing systems, partnering with IT to define system roadmaps, requirements, prioritization, and deployment plans * Collaborate with IT and vendors (including RentalMan and CRM platforms) on system configuration, testing, enhancements, and long-term evolution. * Partner closely with Operations leaders and Office Managers to align contract setup, service execution, and billing outcomes. * Collaborate with Sales/Central Sales Team to align billing with customer agreements * Partner with Finance to support revenue recognition and financial controls * Drive automation and system optimization where applicable Enterprise Billing Support & Governance * Lead change management, user adoption, and training for all billing system enhancements and process changes. * Act as the escalation point for complex, high-impact customer billing issues and revenue risks. * Serve as a resource for all locations * Ensure adoption of optimized processes and best practices across the organization * Develop and deliver standardized training programs, reference materials, and ongoing coaching for Office Managers and billing staff. Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: * Deep expertise in billing operations, revenue processes, and financial controls * Strong understanding of Quote-to-Cash workflows * Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills * Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence stakeholders * Strong leadership, coaching, and organizational development capabilities * Experience with ERP/CRM systems, such as Oracle, RentalMan, Salesforce, etc. * Advanced Excel and data analysis skills * Based out of Houston, Texas with ability to travel up to 50% as business needs require  Education and Experience: * Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field * 5-7 years of progressive experience in billing, finance operations, or revenue support * 5+ years of leadership experience * 3+ years of experience with RentalMan * Experience building or scaling standardized/centralized/shared services function preferred * Industry experience strongly preferred
