For more information about KFI Engineers and our culture, please visit www.kfi-eng.com [http://www.kfi-eng.com].     POSITION OVERVIEW & RESPONSIBILITIES This position will support the BIM function through completion of assigned tasks and collaboration  with internal operating groups to improve Revit tool performance. Responsibilities include developing mechanical Revit content, verifying family accuracy, building new families when needed and ensuring  proper system functionality within Revit. Specific responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following: * Review existing mechanical families for functionality and accuracy, fixing as needed. * Ensure each family has correct type and quantity of connectors and correct shared parameters, adding as needed. * Ensure each connector has correct assigned systems and sub-systems and are controlled via correct shared parameters. Assign/correct as needed. * Align each of these items with KFI standards to ensure consistency and functionality. * Review with each operating group that existing family has necessary components, parameters, and symbology so that it meets the needs of all operating groups across KFI. * Add/Modify anything necessary to align with all groups that doesn’t fundamentally change the purpose of said family. If current family cannot fit the needs of all operating groups, then a new family built from same standards will be created for said groups. * Review existing tags per family for accuracy, fixing as needed. * Review schedules associated with equipment family. Create/Modify as needed per KFI standard. * Review annotations (tags, schedules) with each operating group has their respective needs met and aligned to ensure KFI standards. * Create any families to KFI standard spec that isn’t currently in the catalog. * Additional duties as assigned.   QUALIFICATIONS Required * Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, (or a  related field) or equivalent relevant experience.   * Must be legally authorized to work in the US on a permanent basis without the need for work  sponsorship now or in the future.   * Attention to detail with an understanding of the impacts and interdependencies of systems.  * Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, including building new families, updating existing families and  aligning to corporate standards.  * Strong understanding of building systems, construction processes, and industry standards. * Represent the company in a professional matter.   * Excellent verbal and written communication skills.   * Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with others. * Knowledge of computer technology and specific areas of application, including MS Office. * Travel: May include up to 25% domestic travel.
