Responsibilities

WHAT WILL I BE DOING IN MY NEW ROLE?

  • Assist the Geospatial Manager in development of a Geospatial Management Plan (GMP) based on the scope & requirements of the BIM Execution Plan.
  • Develop & implement the construction validation process on the project utilising the latest in spatial data capture technologies & software.
  • Integrating the validation process into the overall BIM workflow / BIM Execution Plan.
  • Preparation of validation reports & aggregation of data into Power BI dashboards for daily operation meetings.
  • Maintenance of a validation model of all objects checked.
  • Working with the client to schedule validation surveys based on construction activity across the site.
  • Managing the processing of spatial data & preparation of validation reports using Cyclone 3DR & ClearEdge Verity among other software’s.
  • Managing the BIM Technicians reporting to them to ensure timely turnaround of data to support operation meetings.
  • Attend daily operation meetings to report on validation results.
  • Liaise with contractors and advise on best practices as per the Geospatial Management Plan.
  • QA of contractor validation reports on behalf of the client.
  • Delivering instructions and training/developments to junior members of the team.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients and various stakeholders, ensuring we deliver projects to exact customer requirements.
  • Preparing reports as needed.
  • Any other duties as required by the project scope.

REQUIREMENTS OF THE ROLE:

  • Have relevant qualifications (Surveying, Geomatics, BIM or Engineering) and/or 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience working on BIM lead construction projects.
  • Knowledge of the principles and practices of surveying and geospatial engineering.
  • Ability to communicate technical information effectively.
  • Understand scopes of work and project requirements.
  • Have strong knowledge of current Autodesk CAD technology such as Navisworks, Revit, ReCap & BIM 360.
  • Experience working in construction.
  • Experience with HD Laser Scanning technology and software (desired but not essential).
  • Possess a full clean German / International Drivers’ licence
  • The right to work in the Germany.
