Job Title: BIM Coordinator Reporting to: Business Unit General Manager (BUGM) Business Unit: Omexom Design ________________________________________ Purpose of the Position: To Support BIM Management with the implementation of BIM within either a business unit or even on specific projects that are live at any one time. This is a hybrid role, combining the strategic oversight of BIM standards, workflows, and digital delivery with the hands-on coordination of multi-disciplinary project models. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities and Duties: Including but not limited to: •Assist BIM Management by ensuring that standards and process outlined in the project BEP are adhered to internally and externally •Support BIM management to engage with and upskill other business functions including Work Winning & estimating, Planning, Engineering, SHEQ, Business development, and Quantity Surveying. •Coordinate and federate multi-disciplinary BIM models. •Run clash detection and produce coordination / clash reports. •Facilitate design coordination meetings to resolve issues between disciplines. •Create visual walkthroughs using appropriate technologies to address project requirement, site induction, method statements etc •Support project teams with model set-up, data structures, and model audits. •Ensure accurate model deliverables are produced in line with project requirements. ________________________________________ Governance and Stakeholder Interfaces The BIM Coordinator will maintain strong relationships and typically interface with: •Business Unit General Manager •Head of BIM & Digital •BIM Managers •Planners •Lead Design Engineers •Client representatives •Internal Design Teams ________________________________________ Person Specification The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong mix of technical BIM Coordination expertise, sector-specific experience, and a collaborative approach to project delivery. They will be able to work independently whilst enjoy being part of a friendly, ambitious and growing team. Essential Qualifications and Experience •Proven experience in a BIM Coordinator role. •Experience with digital twins, 4D/5D modelling, and integration with GIS/ERP systems. •Experience in working with Revit COBie and Uniclass plug-ins for data compliance and structured outputs. •Strong knowledge of BIM standards (ISO 19650, BS/PAS 1192). •Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, Fuzor (or equivalent platforms). •Advanced understanding of ACC Coordination and Collaboration tools. •Experience in model federation and clash detection. •Strong communication skills with ability to lead coordination meetings. •Experience working in CDE platforms (e.g., ACC, Viewpoint, ProjectWise). Desirable Criteria •Professional certification in BIM (e.g. BRE, BSI, building SMART) •Training – Desire to learn and undertake training in platforms like Fuzor •Awareness or interest in Autodesk APIs for workflow automation. •Experience developing TIDP/MIDP workflows in alignment with ISO 19650 •Experience with Revit cloud sharing and collaboration workflows. •Significant construction experience on large, multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects. ________________________________________ Values In line with Omexom’s values, the jobholder must possess the following qualities: Team Spirit & Generosity – able to work effectively within and contribute to the Omexom team to deliver results, provide support and drive performance.
