Have extensive experience in both mechanical and civil disciplines with proven proficiency in either, or a combination of: Plant3D, Civil3D, Revit, Navisworks, and Recap software. You’ll have experience of water-sector assets and delivering capital projects and experience of design & Build environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING AS OUR NEW BIM COORDINATOR?

We’ll look to you to manage the digital modelling for a group of projects, by managing BIM technicians to create models that comply with the project requirements and BIM procedures.
You’ll collaborate within project teams to produce design and BIM models and ensure the quality and data integrity of intelligent 3D models, by undertaking checks and verifications of the models, to achieve compliance with the BIM standards, procedures, and guidelines.
You’ll provide line management, guidance and support to assigned BIM staff. Grow your professional internal and external networks with a multitude of partners that form the @one Alliance. Work to broaden your skills by working collaboratively with Project Managers, Quantity Surveyors, Procurement, Stakeholder Management, Environmental & Planning, and Construction Managers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Attend and contribute to design coordination meetings to resolve clashes and discrepancies within models, and identify opportunities regarding cost efficiencies, programme, safety, and sustainability.
  • Use the BIM models to identify potential design risks and mitigation measures and share with the design team.
  • Support the extraction of relevant data and information from BIM models to support the preparation of PCI documents.
  • Ensure that all design-related data is correctly structured and easily accessible within the models.
  • Support model catalogue management, to streamline data organisation and optimise the use of intelligent 3D models.
  • Work closely with technician, engineers, technical manager, and other project team members to ensure the design inputs are accurately represented in BIM models.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to design teams on BIM-related issues.
  • Support creating a positive and fulfilling environment, where everyone is respected and heard, and treated equally.
  • Proactively research and implement innovative new processes and ways of working to optimise output.

Mott MacDonald Bentley is a joint venture business, established in 1999 between civil engineering contractor JN Bentley and global management consultancy, Mott MacDonald.
Mott MacDonald Bentley offers fully integrated design and build services to its clients, combining the contracting expertise of JN Bentley and the design specialisms of Mott MacDonald.
This role is employed by Mott MacDonald but will involve working across the joint venture business, both with Mott MacDonald and JN Bentley colleagues.
