Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Utility Engineering, or equivalent (e.g., CAD
  • Technician qualification, UK equivalent).3–5 years of experience in BIM/VDC/ or 3D, lidar industry ideally encompassing project management, utility engineering, surveying, or geospatial data management.
  • 3-5 years as a product manager in the civil engineering world
  • Proven expertise in setting up and managing technical workflows involving geospatial data and BIM integrations.
  • 3-5 years as a product manager in the civil engineering world

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • In-depth understanding of construction documents, shop drawings, and technical ommunication.
  • Strong team player with a collaborative and adaptable approach to working alongside engineers and project management teams.
  • Excellent communication skills for client interactions and technical issue resolution.
  • Expertise in managing metadata and integrating it into BIM models.
  • Ability to meet project deadlines and coordinate with global teams.
  • Advanced proficiency in Bentley MicroStation CE for developing complex CAD models and integration with ProjectWise for streamlined data and document management.
  • Capability to develop 3D models that align with federated model requirements and client or BIM Manager specifications.
  • Experience with reality capture technologies (e.g., LiDAR, photogrammetry, drone surveying) is a plus.

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

POSITION FOCUS:

We are seeking a BIM US to lead and maintain a compliant Common Data Environment (CDE) that integrates seamlessly with platforms such as ProjectWise or Bentley iTwin, lidar tolls new Civil engineer delivery product tolas and ideas. ability The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience with UK\US engineering workflows, particularly in the construction, transportation, or utility sectors, and a robust background in utility engineering

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with data analysis and mapping teams to produce precise 2D and 3D composite utility maps.
  • Ensure seamless integration of GIS-based models into MicroStation projects while maintaining compatibility with the CDE.
  • Develop and manage 2D and 3D models, incorporating utility map data (e.g., manholes, lines, depths) into drafting workflows.
  • Establish and uphold company-specific MicroStation templates to standardize composite utility modeling.
  • Create and manage drawings in compliance with UK BIM standards and regulations, including adherence to ISO standards (e.g., ISO 19650) and achieving RIBA BIM Levels 2 and 3.
  • Utilize reality capture technologies (e.g., LiDAR, drones) to generate realistic utility models and integrate them into BIM workflows.
  • Work under the guidance of engineering specialists to produce 3D models that combine diverse data sets (e.g., LiDAR scans, GIS data, CAD designs) contributing to the Digital Twin of underground utilities.
  • Integrate 3D models into Federated Models while ensuring alignment with client or construction agency BIM Execution Plans (BEPs).
