POSITION OVERVIEW

We are looking for a talented and detail-oriented BIM Modeler with specialized experience in aluminum façade or steel structural systems. You will play a critical role in delivering precise, high-quality BIM models that support seamless design coordination across all phases of architectural projects. The ideal candidate brings a strong command of Revit, a deep understanding of structural systems, and a collaborative mindset to support project success from concept through construction.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience: 3–5 years of BIM modeling experience in aluminum façade or steel structural projects.
  • Software Skills: Proficient in Revit; working knowledge of Navisworks, AutoCAD, and/or Tekla Structures is an asset.
  • Technical Expertise: Solid understanding of fabrication, detailing, and installation of architectural or structural systems.
  • Documentation: Proficiency in producing construction documentation and working with building codes.
  • Detail Orientation: High level of precision in 3D model development and 2D drawing creation.
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work across disciplines.

Responsibilities
  • 3D Modeling: Develop and maintain detailed 3D BIM models focused on aluminum façades or steel structures using Revit.
  • Design Coordination: Work closely with architects, engineers, and consultants to align BIM models with overall design intent.
  • Documentation: Generate accurate drawings—including plans, elevations, sections, and fabrication/shop drawings—directly from BIM models.
  • Model Updates: Manage design changes efficiently by updating models and documentation in accordance with client and team feedback.
  • Clash Detection: Conduct clash detection using Navisworks (or equivalent), and assist in resolving coordination issues through meetings and reviews.
  • Quantity Take-Offs: Extract material quantities for estimating and procurement purposes.
  • Standards Compliance: Ensure all work complies with project-specific BIM execution plans, industry standards, and quality benchmarks.
  • Client Presentations: Support design reviews and stakeholder meetings by presenting and explaining model content and technical details.
  • Team Support: Mentor junior BIM staff by sharing expertise, best practices, and providing hands-on technical guidance.
