JOB DESCRIPTION:

Anchor Planning is seeking a BIM/REVIT technician to use Revit software to create and manage detailed 3D building information models (BIM) for architectural, engineering, and construction (AEC) projects specific to medical equipment plans. This role is responsible for producing accurate, detailed, and organized BIM content to ensure medical equipment data is properly modeled, placed and integrated into models. The BIM Technician will collaborate closely with the BIM Manager, equipment planners, architects, engineers, and project teams to support the delivery of high-quality, coordinated models that align with project schedules and client requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS:

This position requires experience in design at a production level with an emphasis on architectural design and drafting and a core competency in collaborating with a large team in a BIM environment. The successful candidate will be required to work independently and must be able to interpret direction either written or oral and will work within multiple project schedules.
Special consideration will be given to candidates with knowledge of procedures for production of 3D renderings, design development and construction documents, and knowledge of architectural planning, drafting, and detailing.

  • Certification/Education: Associate degree or technical diploma in BIM, drafting, architecture, engineering technology
  • Experience: 1+ year of experience using BIM required. Healthcare, medical equipment planning, or architecture/engineering preferred.
  • Technical Knowledge: Understanding of architectural, structural, and MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) concepts.
  • Detail-Oriented: A strong focus on accuracy and detail to create precise models and drawings.
  • Problem-Solving: The ability to identify and resolve complex design or modeling issues.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Working effectively as part of a team to convey information and support project goals.

Technology Proficiencies:

  • Advanced Autodesk REVIT/BIM Software Skills
  • AutoCAD experience
  • Proficient in Bluebeam software
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Attainia experience preferred

Responsibilities
  • 3D Modeling: Creating, modify and maintain the 3D model medical equipment plans in Revit.
  • Family Creation: Develop and maintain Revit “families” for medical equipment at a LOD of 200-400 and maintain BIM Library
  • Documentation: Producing construction drawings, plans, sections, elevations, and project-specific details from the 3D models.
  • Collaboration: Working with equipment planners, architects, engineers, designers, and other construction professionals to coordinate designs and resolve clashes.
  • Quality Control: Performing quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) on drawings and models to ensure they meet industry standards and project requirements.
  • Data Management: Managing digital project information, including links, drawings, and schedules, within a common data environment.
  • Reporting: Create reports, schedule and plans.
  • Process: Follow and enhance company’s BIM standards
  • AutoCAD: Covert and place CAD models into REVIT plans
  • Plan Review: Read architectural drawings and floor plans. Interpret plan markups and implement changes.
  • Determine equipment locations
  • Extract data from the BIM model to support various project phases.

  • Identify and resolve design conflicts or clashes within the BIM model to ensure accuracy and efficiency
