BIM & Senior BIM Modeller – Logan and Gold Coast Faster Rail project Active Design & Delivery Phase Join UGL’s Engineering Team at a time of growth. We deliver major transport infrastructure with a diversified portfolio to include new energy, transmission, and the expanding data centre industry, giving our people exposure to a diverse and evolving national portfolio. We’re currently delivering the LGCFR project as part of a joint Alliance with the work spanning both design and construction for new track, new and upgraded stations, and integration with live rail infrastructure. Digital engineering and BIM sit at the centre of delivery, and to support this work we’ve created new Brisbane‑based BIM Modeller roles, suited to an experienced BIM professional or someone ready to step into a senior scope. The work covers the full design lifecycle, from detailed design through to design for construction delivering coordinated, construction‑ready digital models used by both design and construction teams. About the role As a hands-on BIM/Senior BIM Modeller, you’ll be responsible for producing and managing high quality 3D models and technical drawings. This is a technically engaging project requiring strong multi‑discipline coordination, delivery within constrained corridors, and highly coordinated models that support design, constructability and delivery in a live operational environment. You’ll work closely with engineers, other modellers and project teams to coordinate models, resolve clashes and ensure designs are ready for construction with the opportunity to support and guide other modellers, while helping to shape and develop BIM and digital engineering practices across projects. Key responsibilities Develop accurate, detailed 3D BIM models for engineering systems. Lead the preparation of detailed drawings, including layouts, schematics and diagrams. Coordinate models across disciplines and manage clash detection and resolution. Use tools such as Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks and Revizto as part of daily delivery. Provide technical guidance and mentorship. Support digital validation, checking and model handover processes. What we offer Access our OneRewards Discount Program. Shape your career with an Individual Development Plan. About you Experience in a similar BIM Modeller role in a similar industry such as major infrastructure, transport or engineering projects. Strong technical understanding within MEI, utilities electrical, or civil/structural disciplines. Solid experience working in BIM environments across the design lifecycle. High level of proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD, with experience using Navisworks and Revizto and good understanding of digital engineering standards, including ISO 19650.
