In this role, you will be responsible for creating and managing Building Information Models (BIM) for electrical systems, ensuring efficient design and implementation of electrical components in construction projects. Develop and maintain detailed 3D BIM models for electrical systems using industry-standard software Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical designs into overall building models Perform clash detection and resolve conflicts between electrical and other building systems Create and manage BIM content libraries for electrical components and equipment Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations in electrical system designs Generate accurate quantity take-offs and cost estimates for electrical materials and equipment Provide technical support and guidance to project teams on BIM-related electrical issues Continuously improve BIM processes and workflows for electrical systems Stay updated on the latest BIM technologies and best practices in electrical design Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field 3-5 years of experience in BIM for electrical systems Proficiency in BIM software, particularly Revit and AutoCAD MEP Strong knowledge of electrical systems design principles and implementation Experience in construction or engineering projects Excellent 3D modeling and visualization skills Familiarity with industry standards, codes, and regulations related to electrical systems BIM certification (e.g., Autodesk Certified Professional) preferred Additional Information Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, collaborative environment Experience with clash detection and conflict resolution in BIM models Knowledge of sustainable design practices and energy-efficient electrical systems a plus About AECOM AECOM is proud to offer comprehensive benefits to meet the diverse needs of our employees.
