THE OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for a BIM Technician – Electrical Building Services to join our team in our Johannesburg office. Your primary responsibility is to support the planning, design, and documentation of projects through BIM software. You will collaborate with engineers, and other professionals to ensure that the digital models accurately reflect all necessary project specifications and codes. You will be accountable to produce BIM models/drawings, visualizations and other design-related documentation utilizing 3D, 2D and BIM software. Report on a day-to-day basis to a senior engineer or project manager and ultimately to the staff group leader. Implement and monitor Arup and project BIM standards. Check sample output for compliance with BIM QA requirements. Participate in design development. Represent BIM at group internal/project meetings. Operate in accordance with Quality Assurance procedures.

Is this role right for you?

We are looking for the following skills:

• Proficiency in BIM software, particularly Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD.
• Certification proving proficiency in BIM software
• Participating in meetings and collaborating with the project team to discuss and resolve matters related to model accuracy and project requirements.
