Henderson Engineers is seeking a Mid-Level BIM Technician to join our Retail Sector and support our Restaurant Practice. A BIM Technician II is instrumental in providing technical expertise and support in the development and coordination of complex 3D models for engineering projects. This position requires an in-depth understanding of BIM processes, software and proficiency in troubleshooting to ensure the successful execution of projects.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Basic proficiency with Navisworks preferred.

CLIENT EXPERIENCE:

• Fosters a client-centric mindset and approach.
• Communicates with clients as needed for the development and coordination of requirements and scope of work. Maintains proactive communication throughout the project cycle.
• Answers questions from clients and architects, escalating as needed.
• Assists in resolving conflicts involving owners, architects and contractors as needed.
• Participates in coordination meetings to discuss BIM-related issues, updates, and progress.

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
• Associate degree in relevant field of BIM (i.e.: BIM/CAD Technology) and 3 years of relevant progressive experience or 5 years of progressive experience without degree utilizing BIM to produce mechanical and electrical drawings in HVAC, plumbing, fire protection or electrical fields required.
• Intermediate knowledge and understanding of the A&E industry, codes, design guides and standards.
• Intermediate working knowledge and understanding of BIM technology, interoperability of BIM software platforms, computing technologies and industry-specific standards.
• Basic proficiency with Dynamo and Imaginit Clarity required.
• Intermediate proficiency with Autodesk Construction Cloud/BIM 360 required.
• Advanced proficiency with Revit required.
• Intermediate proficiency in AutoCAD and Recap preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite required.
• Ability to function in a highly collaborative environment and in group projects leading less experienced BIM Technicians as well as work independently as needed.
