BIM TECHNICIAN (M&E) – NEWRY | £30,000–£45,000 DOE

Permanent Position | Building Services Contractor
An established building services contractor is seeking a BIM/CAD Technician to join their design coordination team at their Newry-based office. This is a full-time, permanent role supporting the delivery of mechanical and electrical systems across a wide range of commercial, industrial, and residential projects across Ireland and the UK.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Previous experience as a BIM/CAD Technician (M&E) in the construction/engineering industry
• Proficient in AutoCAD (Revit and Navisworks experience is a strong advantage)
• Familiarity with mechanical and electrical systems in the built environment
• Ability to read technical drawings and interpret design requirements
• Strong communication and time management skills
• Qualification in CAD Design, Engineering, or Construction Technology is preferred

• Develop coordinated 2D drawings and 3D BIM models for mechanical and electrical systems
• Assist with clash detection and drawing revisions during project delivery
• Work alongside project managers and site teams to ensure build accuracy
• Support prefabrication and site installation with up-to-date construction drawings
• Maintain document control standards and drawing registers
