Metropolitan Mechanical Contractors (MMC) is looking for aspiring leaders to bring their mechanical and plumbing expertise to a growing dynamic team as a BIM/VDC Coordinator. We are looking for someone who enjoys working in a team, is comfortable with Revit modeling, and enjoys coordinating construction modeling of mechanical and plumbing designs. This fast-paced job gives you the opportunity to be on the front end of projects to help identify problems before construction begins to improve project execution and value to the customer.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Associate’s degree or certification in Computer-Aided Design (CAD), Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related field strongly encouraged
  • Minimum of 2 years of related experience
  • Knowledge of Mechanical HVAC duct and piping systems materials installation encouraged.
  • Knowledge of Plumbing systems materials installation encouraged.
  • Must have minimum novice level Revit proficiency. Applicants may be tested on Revit knowledge via conversation or computer demonstration.
  • Design or field experience strongly recommended, but not necessary
  • Experience with the following software:


    • Intermediate Revit knowledge

    • Novice Navisworks Manage knowledge
    • Bluebeam
    • Microsoft Excel/Outlook
    • Effective written and verbal communication skills

    Responsibilities
    • Review plumbing and mechanical construction documents and submittals to create corresponding construction models
    • Coordinate mechanical and plumbing systems using fabrication parts in Revit and Navis
    • Produce Field install drawings and reports for field and fabrication shop
    • Closely communicate with field, fabrication team, and project managers
    • Participate at project coordination meetings
