Our Miami Gardens, FL location is currently seeking an experienced Bindery Operator! Summary: The Bindery Operator is responsible for the setup, adjustment and safe operation of all relevant bindery equipment such as: MBO folders with pile and continuous feeders; Heidelberg/Stahl Folders with continuous feeders; Rollem Scoring machine and 4-6 pocket Muller Martini-Presto saddle stitchers to produce quality finished products that meet customer specifications and quality standards. Schedule: 2nd shift, Monday-Friday, eight or more hours per day, five days per week based on business needs. Primary schedule will be 1:00 PM – 9:00 PM, or similar. Training may occur at other times. This is an on-site position requiring the employee to be present physically. Salary Range: $19.00 To 22.00 Hourly Compensation commensurate with experience. ¡SE HABLA ESPAÑOL! Thank you for your understanding. ---------------------------------------- Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: * Access the batching system to view batch lists and identify priority jobs to be completed * Review job tickets and plan work processes to meet customer specifications for custom jobs * Ensure machines are ready and set specifications to run products as required * Quality control of completed jobs, providing updates on job status and schedule to the supervisor * Make adjustments as needed to maintain specifications and timely flow of materials * Monitor assigned machine during run to ensure machines are maintaining the proper requirements * Unload machine and stack materials on pallets * Ensure jobs are meeting quality and quantity requirements * Troubleshoot machine problems, resolve if possible, notifying Floor Supervisor * Maintain proper machine maintenance and lubrication * Remove waste items for recycling * Wear all assigned Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when required * Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records, documents, etc. * Regularly perform general housekeeping duties in your work area(s) * Adhere to all safety policies and protocols and maintain a safe working environment * Attend all department/company meetings, as needed * Other duties as assigned For an extensive list of responsibilities, duties and physical demands/work environment please refer to the attached Job Description. ---------------------------------------- EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCES: * High School Diploma or GED equivalency; or six-months to one-year related experience in a manufacturing environment and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience * One and a half (1.5) or more years’ experience utilizing MBO folders with pile and continuous feeders * One and a half (1.5) or more years’ experience utilizing Heidelberg/Stahl folders with continuous feeders * One and a half (1.5) or more years’ experience utilizing 6 pocket Muller Martini-Presto saddle stitchers CRITICAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS: * Basic math skills, ability to perform mathematical functions of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division * Effectively communicate orally and written with all members of the internal organization as well as external customers * Ability to work flexible, extended hours and weekends as required * Quality oriented * Reading comprehension in relation to job ticket assignment and customer instructional specifications * Detail-oriented and organized work ethic including efficient time management skills, with proven track record of completion of tasks/assignments * Ability to adapt to a changing environment ---------------------------------------- 4over Company History: 4over was founded in February of 2001.
