Position Overview We are looking for a skilled and motivated Bindery Operator / Shift Leader to lead our second shift team in Houston. This role involves operating a variety of bindery equipment and overseeing production to ensure high-quality output and team performance. Key Responsibilities • Set up, adjust, and operate bindery machines including folders, cutters, collators, stitchers, drills, inkjet/mailing devices, and gluing/binding systems • Operate automatic bindery systems with integrated functions to produce finished products such as books, catalogs, and manuals • Lead and supervise the second shift team through all stages of production • Monitor equipment for safety and troubleshoot mechanical issues • Perform quality checks and ensure finished products meet specifications • Make precise adjustments across multiple stations to maintain synchronization and product quality • Read and interpret job tickets to understand production requirements Requirements Qualifications • Fluent English communication skills • Proven leadership ability and self-motivation to succeed • Strong cutting skills required; folding and stitching experience is a plus • Quality-conscious with attention to detail • Technical aptitude and troubleshooting experience with machinery • Familiarity with various paper types and conditions • Basic math skills (decimals, metric units) for interpreting job specs • Skilled in using hand tools and specialized equipment for machine setup and maintenance • Ability to read and follow detailed work instructions Why Join Us? • Competitive pay and benefits • Supportive team environment • Opportunities for growth and development • A company culture that values innovation and fun Ready to lead and make an impact?
