Description Job Summary The role of bindery clerk is an important part of the manufacturing cycle which requires great attention to detail and accuracy to ensure customer orders are assembled and packed correctly and neatly. Job Duties: Examines collated and unbound material to ascertain that pages are in numerical or folio order according to sample copy, and for such defects as ink spots, torn, loose, and uneven pages. Operates the cutter to trim printed material to job specification Palletize boxes in sequential order Wraps product in plastic, using shrink-wrapping machine, makes boxes, packs products in boxes, labels boxes and tapes lids of boxes shut Records daily production. Troubleshoot issues with equipment Additional duties as assigned Qualifications High school diploma, GED or at least one year of job specific work experience Ability to work as part of a team with a focus on safety Mathematical proficiency Ability to operate a computer Ability to use Microsoft Office products Problem solving skills Ability to read and understand safety and employment materials Ability to communicate clearly *** We are an E-Verify Employer*** Requirements Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods of time Ability to lift up to 35 pounds Manufacturing environment with Regular use of arms to reach Regular use of fingers to handle, feel, push and type Regular use of eyes to focus on computer monitors and printed materials
