Responsibilities

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a Binocular Inspector to join our Derby Compressor Discs and Drums Facility (DCDD), part of Rotatives UK and Compression.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

In this role you will operate in a busy, world-class engineering and manufacturing environment and will be responsible for delivering the targets to meet customer requirements. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Setting up and standardising equipment, systematically inspecting parts, interpreting and evaluating for acceptance or rejection, and documenting results.
  • Raising failed inspection and correction documentation
  • Operation of the CAPP MES work booking system and INSPECT inspection results booking system
  • Be thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations of the technique/method.
  • Be familiar with the codes, standards and other contractual documents that control the method as used.
  • Have a basic knowledge of relevant product manufacturing and inspection technology.
  • Where applicable, have a basic knowledge of operational experience and its effects upon hardware.
  • Working to the relevant Rolls-Royce Quality & Health, Safety & Environmental Procedures
  • Undertaking basic housekeeping tasks, including 5s activity.
