Description

As part of MAC’s continued growth and expansion, we are looking to recruit a Bioanalytical Laboratory Scientist to join our dedicated team in Manchester. As a new and growing department, our laboratories are equipped with state-of-the-art machinery. The successful candidate will be involved in groundbreaking drug development; fundamental in supporting healthcare.

KEY SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • Minimum Degree in Science Subject or equivalent and 10 years supervisory experience within a commercial analytical lab (Preferably within a healthcare or bioanalytical setting)

or

  • Master’s Degree in Science Subject or equivalent and 5 years supervisory experience within a commercial analytical lab (Preferably within a healthcare or bioanalytical setting) 

or

  • PhD in Science Subject or equivalent and 2years supervisory experience within a commercial analytical lab (Preferably within a healthcare or bioanalytical setting)

and

  • Significant experience running and maintaining a LC-MS/MS system
  • Knowledge of data processing and analysis within a chromatography data system
  • Experience in working with QMS
  • Knowledge of use of LIMS
  • In depth knowledge of laboratory testing procedures and applicable regulations
  • Substantial experience in the creation and management of SOP’s.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory guidelines and requirements
  • Knowledge and experience of conducting Root cause analysis & CAPA processes
  • Considerable prior experience working under GLP
Responsibilities
  • Developing qualitative and quantitative analytical methods in support of current and future business needs. Ensuring that the laboratory consistently produces high quality data, on time and at cost.
  • Helping to maintain the Quality System within Laboratory Services at MAC Clinical Research in Manchester.
  • Writing, updating and working to standard operating procedures.
  • Developing, transferring and validating analytical methods to support the work of project teams and sponsors.
  • Helping to guide and support junior staff members.
