About the role This position is responsible for expanding, monitoring and improving the delivery of the BiOC program. It will drive effective collaboration, coordination and integration of organisations, service providers and services constituting the BiOC program, with the goal of optimising access for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families to high quality, culturally safe, comprehensive care throughout the antenatal, birthing, postnatal and early childhood period. Your day to day duties may include: Manage and lead the BiOC teams to provide quality, value adding services in all aspects of child and maternal health services in accordance with community needs, priorities and State/Commonwealth government funding and policy guidelines. Review current information systems and contribute to ongoing refinement and improvement of system use and capability. Oversee the ongoing development and refinement of community engagement activities aimed at increasing promotion, awareness, access and uptake of BiOC and MCH services. Provide progress and summary reports on BiOC as required. Lead implementation of regular monthly Clinical Quality improvement meetings. Ensure all new staff working with the BiOC program participate in a comprehensive program of induction, including orientation to sites, the BiOC team, each of the partner organisations, and to urban Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health, culture and communities.
