REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS*

Required to have a minimum of a Bachelor degree in a recognized field of science or learning which is directly related to the duties of the position.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS*

PhD or equivalent with experience in multi-omic data analysis.

• The bioinformatician will be responsible for performing integrative analysis of large, multi-omics data sets from humans and from animal models.
• They will lead the modification of existing bioinformatic approaches and develop new tools for data analysis.
• The individual should be familiar with R or Python-based tools to analyze these data sets.
• The bioinformatician should be able to interpret the data and create visuals to transmit the information orally and via written documents.
• They should be able to work with students and teach approaches to data analysis to learners.
• The person will lead others in the analysis of large data in a consortium setting, MoTrPAC. MoTrPAC has collected millions of pieces of clinical and molecular data from thousands of individuals and animal models.
• This role works closely with the PI in overseeing the analysis of a significant portion of the data.
