SCOPE OF WORK
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented bioinformatician to support genomic surveillance, outbreak response, and research activities for bacterial pathogens, including Streptococcus, Legionella, Mycoplasma, Escherichia coli, and Chlamydia. The ideal candidate will have experience with analyzing whole-genome and metagenomic sequencing data, maintaining and developing bioinformatics pipelines, supporting data interpretation, and serving as a resource for non-bioinformatician collaborators.

ASRT, Inc. provides scientific, information management, management consulting, bioinformatics, and administrative program support to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and other Federal and private sector clients. The successful candidate will be a full-time employee of ASRT, Inc., and will be assigned to the Pneumonia and Streptococcus Laboratory Branch (PSLB), Division of Bacterial Diseases (DBD), National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases (NCIRD), at the CDC, located at 1600 Clifton Road, Atlanta, GA.
