Description
Description TGen, the Translational Genomics Research Institute, is an affiliate of City of Hope. We are an Arizona-based, nonprofit medical research institute dedicated to conducting groundbreaking research with life-changing results. We work to unravel the genetic components of common and complex diseases, including cancer, neurological disorders, infectious disease, and rare childhood disorders. By identifying treatment options in this manner, we believe medicine becomes more rational, more precise and, well, more personal. If you’re looking for a job with purpose, you’ll find it at TGen. The Altin lab develops and applies innovative proteomic assays to study the adaptive immune response, with applications in the study of infectious disease and cancer. In collaboration with the Lahouel lab, we are developing a series of new projects that integrate recent advances in deep-learning for structural biology (AlphaFold and generative approaches). We are seeking a bioinformatician to drive this cutting-edge work. Work in a highly cross-functional environment together with specialists in immunology and deep learning Implement newly-released machine learning models on a GPU cluster Contribute to the design of new research questions and the systems and approaches needed to address them Analyze, interpret and communicate results We are a human-centric organization that translates to our employees. Some of the perks in working for us: BC/BS of Arizona health coverage. Dental, Vision, Life, Short and Long Term Disability Top notch EAP with a full scope of concierge type services 401k with 6% match Generous time off Commuter benefits Much, much more!
