Overview:
The biologic coordinator is a specialized healthcare professional who manages and facilitates biologic therapies for patients. They work closely with medical providers and patients to navigate the complexities of these treatments, which include coordinating care, handling prior authorizations, and ensuring patient adherence. Essentially, they act as a bridge between patients, healthcare providers, insurance companies, and pharmacies to streamline the process of accessing and administering biologic.

Qualifications:
Education: High School or GED required. 2 Year / Associate Degree in biology, nursing or a healthcare related field preferred.
Experience: 3-5 years in healthcare setting required.
Licensure/Certification: Medical Assistant Certification (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) required. Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
Additional Skills/Requirements (required): Gain customer confidence through competence, good communication, and trust building behaviors. Recognize and value the unique differences and similarities in both our team members and patients to create an inclusive environment where diversity is celebrated. Explain all processes to patients in plain language and utilize teach back to ensure understanding.
