In this paid role, you will inspire and empower students by providing engaging, personalized instruction in science subjects. Responsibilities
- Deliver tailored tutoring sessions in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Elementary Science to students of various ages and skill levels
- Develop customized lesson plans that align with students’ curriculum and learning goals
- Use effective teaching methods to clarify complex scientific concepts.
- Monitor student progress regularly and adjust instruction to ensure understanding and confidence
- Foster a positive learning environment that encourages questions, curiosity, and active participation
- Maintain clear communication with parents or guardians regarding student performance and areas for improvement
- Utilize computer skills to prepare digital resources, track student progress, and facilitate virtual tutoring sessions when needed
Experience
- Proven tutoring experience in science subjects such as Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or Elementary Science
- Prior experience working with children or in an educational setting is highly preferred
- Classroom experience or teaching background enhances your ability to manage diverse learning needs
- Familiarity with special education strategies helps support students requiring additional assistance
- Excellent communication skills combined with patience and enthusiasm for teaching science topics
- Must be able to reliably commute to the tutoring center.
