Description REPORTS TO: 9th-12th Principal STATUS: Full-Time (1st Semester 2026) START DATE: August 2026 HOURS: School calendar and hours of operation Overview: Legacy Christian Academy hires staff who care about the spiritual and academic growth of their students, who maintain high academic standards, and who love Christ and live by biblical principles. LCA has a close-knit staff and faculty who join together for prayer, Biblical Worldview training, celebrations, and staff development. As a Legacy employee, it is essential and foundational to understand, live out, and agree wholeheartedly with Legacy’s Statement of Faith, Social Stances, Core Values, and the Profile of a Legacy Employee. This position is for a Long-Term Substitute Teacher for High School Biology for first semester fall of 2026. Job Requirements & Qualifications: Possess a strong Christian faith with a solid knowledge of the Bible, a growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and a demonstrated character of integrity. Believe and actively support the school’s Statement of Faith. Possess a passion for Christian education and student discipleship. Individual must be comfortable connecting the biblical truths and biblical worldview perspectives found in science to their students’ lives. A demonstrated knowledge in science and a clear understanding of how to teach biology effectively. Comfort with or openness to learning school management software and other online teaching tools such as Google Classroom and the Google suite. Ability to work with all functions - administration, support staff, other faculty, and students. Bachelor's degree in Science is required Prior teaching experience, a teaching license is preferred.
