About the area
The Biomedical and Health Innovation portfolio includes the Perth Biodesign team, as well as UWA’s contribution to the WA Life Sciences Innovation Hub. These collaborative initiatives support biomedical and health innovation and translation, fostering partnerships between academia, clinicians and industry.

About the opportunity

  • Lead the coordination and delivery of the iPREP Program, which provides internship opportunities to PhD students to develop their careers as well as grow and benefit industry-university research collaboration
  • Lead communications and promotional activities for the iPREP Program, including managing events, digital campaigns, and stakeholder communications
  • Work will contribute to the broader growth of WA’s biomedical and health innovation ecosystem

About you

  • Tertiary qualification in a biomedical or health-related discipline or equivalent
  • Relevant experience in program coordination and stakeholder engagement, ideally involving industry and/or student-facing initiatives.
  • Familiarity with WA’s medtech, biotech, pharmaceutical, and digital health sectors, including relevant networks.
  • Proven ability to engage with a wide variety of stakeholders, incorporating diverse perspectives and building effective, long-term professional relationships.
  • Understanding of ethical considerations as they relate to research and innovation.
