JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

As a Biomedical Engineering Trainee at GE HealthCare, you’ll be assigned to a regional Service Area in the UK and begin a structured 2-year development programme aimed at transitioning into a permanent Field Service role. In this hands-on role, you’ll support the maintenance and repair of GE HealthCare’s medical equipment at customer sites, working closely with experienced engineers and receiving mentorship throughout your journey. Your training will combine formal product instruction at one of our service centres with day-to-day learning in the field. To support your success, you’ll be equipped with a laptop, phone, and full toolkit.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Recent graduate with a degree in Biomedical Engineering, Clinical Engineering, Medical Technology, or Electronics Engineering
  • Experience working in clinical environments
  • Awareness of relevant industry standards and regulatory bodies
  • Willingness to travel to various sites and support the wider team
  • Strong interest in technology and a desire to build a career in medical equipment service
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
Responsibilities
  • Support the Biomed Team Leaders and Account Manager in delivering on contract commitments and meeting KPIs
  • Take initiative and assist team members as needed in a collaborative environment
  • Demonstrate and uphold GE HealthCare’s leadership behaviours
  • Adhere to local and global Health & Safety regulations
  • Commit to quality standards and follow both local and global Quality Management Systems (QMS)
