Job Summary: The Biomedical Equipment Engineer is responsible for full lifecycle management of all medical equipment across all Mia Aesthetics locations, including maintenance, repairs, compliance, capital planning, and vendor management. Duties & Responsibilities: · Optimizes and monitors medical equipment readiness and performance and recommends improvements, repairs and purchases · Schedules, performs, and manages preventative maintenance and calibration of all medical equipment · Troubleshoots, schedules, performs, and manages repairs of all medical equipment · Develops preventative maintenance programs and SOPs · Creates profiles for all medical equipment to track inventory and equipment life cycle (i.e., repairs performance, warranty options) and maintains audit-ready documentation · Assists with budgeting for medical equipment repairs needs and new purchases · Sources, installs and calibrations medical equipment; procures and coordinates outside vendors visits for installation and/or repairs as needed · Manages Original Equipment Manufacture and third-party vendors (i.e., repair companies, service warranties) · Optimizes medical equipment contracts · Ensures compliance with safety and regulatory standards · Tracks KPIs and performance metrics for medical equipment · Reports to senior leadership and attends all scheduled meetings · All other duties as assigned Requirements Required Skills/Abilities: · Excellent verbal and written communication skills · Strong attention to detail · Strong time management and prioritization skills Education and Experience: · Associates Degree in Biomedical Technology or Engineering · Certified BET certification · 5 years experience as a Biomedical Repair Technician/Engineer Physical Requirements: · Prolonged periods of standing, bending, and reaching below and overhead · Able to lift, move, and carry 50 lbs Travel Requirements: · At least 75% including out of state travel to clinic sites
