Description

Coordinates and manages assessment projects within an organization, overseeing the planning, implementation, and evaluation of assessment activities. Collaborates with stakeholders to define project goals, timelines, and deliverables. Collects and analyzes data, prepares reports, and presents findings to key decision-makers. Ensures compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

Essential Functions:

  • Assign a percentage to each essential function
  • Publish research findings (write, revise, and submit manuscripts for publication)
  • Develop grant proposals (contribute to grant applications, and to the overall strategy for funding acquisition)
  • Collaborate with the Principal Investigator to design and conduct research projects
  • Mentor graduate students and junior researchers (provide technical guidance on data analysis, and manuscript preparation). Collaborate on interdisciplinary projects (integrate various types of data and methodologies. Performs all other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong scientific acumen, the ability to work independently, and the capacity to manage complex datasets, particularly in the context of trans-omics and epidemiological research.
  • Track record of publishing in scientific journals and proficiency in scientific writing.
  • Experience in analyzing high-dimensional omics data, including genomic, epigenomic, transcriptomic (e.g. mRNA-seq, single-cell RNA-seq), and proteomic data.
  • Strong computational skills with experience in various software and programming languages, and familiarity with bioinformatics tools.
  • Experience in analyzing large datasets within a cloud environment (e.g., ‘All of Us’, ‘UK Biobank’) is highly desirable.
  • Education and Experience:
  • Master’s degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, Genetic Epidemiology, Bioinformatics, Data Science, or other related fields.

Education and Experience:

  • Applicants must hold a master’s or PhD in Statistics, Biostatistics, Genetic Epidemiology, Bioinformatics, Data Science, or other related fields. · The applicant can be non-citizen holding an appropriate visa; and must have a master’s degree or a doctoral degree obtained less than 3 years ago.
