The Statistician will support data analysis efforts for several federally funded research studies led by Dr. Nicholas Allan as well as other research studies. This remote, part-time position is well-suited for someone with statistical training who is looking to apply their skills in an applied behavioral health research setting. The role involves data cleaning, statistical analysis, and contribution to manuscripts and grant proposals. The position offers opportunities for mentorship and skill development and is ideal for individuals interested in expanding their applied statistics experience in a collaborative, team-based environment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in statistics, psychology, public health, or a related field with coursework in statistics or quantitative methods. 2 years of relevant experience required.
  • Experience conducting basic statistical analyses such as t-tests, ANOVA, and regression.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data quality.
  • Ability to work independently and communicate effectively in a remote work setting.
  • Interest in behavioral health, clinical, or social science research.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s degree in statistics, psychology, public health, or related field.
  • Prior experience working on research studies in academic, clinical, or lab settings.
  • Willingness to expand technical skills and learn new analytic approaches.
  • Clear and concise writing skills, especially in summarizing data and statistical results.
