Building Name: Porter - Porter Medical Center Location Address: 115 Porter Drive, Middlebury Vermont Regular Department: Porter - Birthing Center Full Time Standard Hours: 36 Biweekly Scheduled Hours: Shift: Eve/Night-12Hr Primary Shift: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM Weekend Needs: Every Other Salary Range: Min $21.45 Mid $26.66 Max $31.87 Recruiter: Jessica Stafford JOB DESCRIPTION: The Birth Center Assistant (BCA) functions within the policies & procedure of the organization, and Birthing Center services, which encompasses the clinical, clerical & technical activities of assisting the unit with providing safe patient care & environment at all times. She/he will maintain a safe clean physical/clutter free environment. The BCA functions under the direct supervision on the Birthing Center Registered Nurse. EDUCATION: High School Graduate or equivalent EXPERIENCE: Previous patient care experience and medical terminology helpful. This is a bargaining union position. The University of Vermont Health Network/Porter Medical Center is located in the heart of beautiful Middlebury, Vermont. We are comprised of a 25-bed acute care facility, a 98-bed skilled nursing facility which includes a memory care unit, short-term rehabilitation unit and a long-term care unit, and a network of primary care and specialty medical practices throughout Addison county and the town of Brandon.

Responsibilities

The Birth Center Assistant functions within the policies and procedures of the organization, assisting with clinical, clerical, and technical activities to provide safe patient care. They maintain a clean and safe environment under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
