  Bishop Hartley High School Intervention Specialist Full-time Catholic Preferred but Not Required   Position Summary Our Notre Dame team provides effective educational support to students who have been diagnosed with a disability that affects their academic performance. This position supports all students who have a current IEP. In addition to supporting students on work towards their IEP goals, our intervention specialists are responsible for facilitating small groups with general education course work and providing testing accommodations. The Intervention Specialist will be responsible for monitoring students during study hall periods, communicating with classroom teachers about course work, collecting data for the MTSS team, and updating student families on progress. The Intervention Specialist will also be responsible for working closely with other members of the intervention team on a daily basis.   Reports to Principal & Vice Principal of Student Life   Primary Responsibilities * Monitoring students on IEP’s during study hall periods by checking grades, communicating with teachers and parents, and working one-on-one with the students * Reteaching/altering lessons for students to supplement classroom lessons * Communicating behavioral observations and/or responses to intervention and its impact on academic performance to the Student Services Team * Providing accommodations for students during classroom testing * Collecting and communicating data to student’s home districts for progress reports and IEP meetings * Maintaining timely and accurate records * Completing reports, paperwork, and documentation in a timely fashion * Attending all IEP meetings and, when necessary, facilitating the efficient communication of pertinent information with respect to students’ learning goals, their progress toward those goals, and recommendations for goal renewal or goal revision using data-driven decision-making * Other duties and responsibilities as deemed necessary by administration Required * Intervention Specialist degree and/or valid Ohio Intervention Specialist license or the ability to obtain one prior to the start date * Completion of Virtus/Protecting God’s Children Training * Completed FBI/BCI background checks * Experience working with high school students in a school or a school support program setting * Ability to communicate often and effectively with team members * Ability to demonstrate flexibility with a variety of daily schedules and emergent tasks Review of applications will continue until the position is filled. See the job description below for more information.  Please apply for this position at the bottom of the page.    If you require assistance completing our initial application, please reach out to Liliana Landauer at llandauer1@cdeducation.org [http://llandauer1@cdeducation.org].    JOB DESCRIPTION FOR TEACHERS TITLE: Teacher QUALIFICATIONS: Appropriate state certification/license: as required by the grade levels and subjects taught Religious Education certification as required by the diocese RESPONSIBLE TO: Principal JOB GOAL: To assist students in mastering the skills and information in the school curriculum while helping them to grow in faith and responsibility. Responsibilities
