Description
General Hotels Corporation is seeking a Bistro Attendant for our Courtyard by Marriott, Muncie. The Bistro Attendant is a key role in our ability to provide high levels of hospitality and service to our guests.    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food. * Prepare, cook, and serve food according to recipes, quality standards, and food preparation standards, and food preparation checklist. * Wash and disinfect kitchen area, tables, tools, knives, and equipment. * Ensure highest levels of food safety. * Engage with guests to take orders and process payments. * Provide assistance in Food and Beverage areas including busing, cleaning and resetting tables, delivering food to guests, and general cleaning of prep areas and other areas within the lobby. * Accurately maintain cash register and credit receipts. * Follow policies and procedures for the safe operation and storage of tools, equipment and machines. * Perform other reasonable job duties as requested. QUALIFICATIONS * Previous customer service experience is required. Previous experience in a similar position or within a hotel preferred. * Excellent communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal. * Guest service-oriented demeanor is required. Candidate should be willing to go above and beyond for our guests and have a professional, positive attitude. * Ability to read and speak English.
