This will include active involvement in manufacturing activities, day to day operations, safety and environmental awareness and plant maintenance.    This is a full time, permanent position with the occasional requirement of overtime/weekend shifts.    You’ll Also Be Responsible For: * Working collaboratively as part of a close team  * Making sure we’ve got the raw material to keep up with customer demands  * Ensuring plant is constantly maintained and looked after  * Paperwork – can’t escape it (ever). You’ll be completing plant performance logs and keeping plant management systems up to date  Nga pūkenga matua | Important Skills   Most importantly, you’ll bring a proactive, “can‑do” attitude and enjoy being part of a small, supportive team, along with a solid focus on health, safety, and environmental care. You’ll also need to be physically fit and comfortable at heights and in confined spaces.  Soft skills you will bring to the team:  * Clear and confident communication skills   * A customer - focused approach  * Willingness to follow Safe Operating Procedures ( SOPs ) and permit-to-work systems  * Reliable, organised, and able to work independently after training  * A practical, logical approach to operating computer-controller plant systems   The following skills are highly desirable, though they can also be developed on the job :  * Experience or some exposure to manufacturing or a trade - experience with bitumen or chemical production is a bonus  * Basic mechanical aptitude (comfortable troubleshooting minor plant issues once trained)   * An F endorsement (forklift licence) - helpful but not essential   * Familiarity with Microsoft tools such as Word and Excel     Me pēhea ki te tono | How to apply    If this sounds like the opportunity for you, click Apply Now to submit your application!
