Te kōwhiringa | The Opportunity Join our Road Science team as a Bitumen Plant Operator based in New Plymouth. As a Bitumen Plant Operator, you’ll be responsible for the efficient and safe operation of the continuous high productivity at our bitumen emulsion manufacturing plant. This will include active involvement in manufacturing activities, day to day operations, safety and environmental awareness and plant maintenance. This is a full time, permanent position with the occasional requirement of overtime/weekend shifts. You’ll Also Be Responsible For: * Working collaboratively as part of a close team * Making sure we’ve got the raw material to keep up with customer demands * Ensuring plant is constantly maintained and looked after * Paperwork – can’t escape it (ever). You’ll be completing plant performance logs and keeping plant management systems up to date Nga pūkenga matua | Important Skills Most importantly, you’ll bring a proactive, “can‑do” attitude and enjoy being part of a small, supportive team, along with a solid focus on health, safety, and environmental care. You’ll also need to be physically fit and comfortable at heights and in confined spaces.
