Description
Downer is seeking a highly organised and proactive Bitumen Scheduler to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating day-to-day bitumen transport operations, ensuring efficient scheduling, resource allocation, and exceptional service delivery to both internal and external stakeholders. Based out of Qantas Drive Brisbane, you’ll play a key role as the central point of contact, working closely with production teams, subcontractors, and customers to keep operations running smoothly and safely. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Schedule and allocate transport resources to meet operational and customer requirements. * Coordinate bookings, orders, and delivery schedules. * Liaise with internal teams, subcontractors, and customers to ensure seamless service. * Monitor fleet utilisation and drive efficiency and cost-effective planning. * Maintain accurate records and simple reporting (including spreadsheets). * Ensure compliance with Chain of Responsibility and safety standards. * Promote and uphold a strong Zero Harm safety culture.   WHAT YOU’LL BRING * Previous experience in logistics, transport scheduling, or a similar role (preferred). * Strong organisational and planning skills. * Intermediate computer skills, including Excel. * Ability to manage multiple priorities and make sound decisions quickly. * Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills. * A strong customer focus and commitment to quality outcomes. * A proactive, team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently.   Downer is a company that believes people are our greatest asset.
