Our self-serve video ad platform allows brands to create interactive-style ads that feel dynamic and engaging without requiring live interactivity. These ads feature auto-scrolling animations and other immersive effects that are baked directly into the video file. The result is a polished, platform-ready asset that can be distributed anywhere standard video ads are supported, while still delivering an elevated, attention-grabbing experience for viewers. The underlying system is built on a template-driven Blender workflow. We are currently at the minimum viable product (MVP) stage, and your work will be critical in turning it into a robust, production-ready solution.

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Advanced Blender expertise, including animation, camera movement, and rendering workflows.
  • Experience designing and maintaining template-driven creative systems.
  • Strong understanding of frame rate, resolution, compression, and export settings for digital advertising.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Familiarity with ad tech or digital advertising pipelines.
  • Experience with Python scripting in Blender for automation.
  • Knowledge of other creative tools such as After Effects or Photoshop.
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a Blender Specialist to join our Engineering team on a 6-month contract, with the possibility of renewal. You will be responsible for refining, optimizing, and fully productizing our Blender template system so it can scale across multiple ad formats.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Template Development & Optimization
  • Create and maintain separate Blender files for each ad format in the video ad product library.
  • Configure and streamline template parameters including asset placement, scroll timing, frame rate, animation duration, and render settings.
  • Improve template usability for both internal teams and external clients using the self-serve platform.
  • Productization of the Template System
  • Evolve the MVP template system into a robust, production-ready toolset.
  • Implement standardized processes, file structures, and naming conventions for consistency.
  • Collaborate with engineering to identify automation opportunities (e.g., Python scripting in Blender).
  • Collaboration & Workflow
  • Work closely with engineers, designers, and product managers to ensure templates meet technical specs and creative goals.
  • Contribute feedback to improve the self-serve workflow and overall user experience.
  • Follow engineering team best practices for version control and asset management.
  • Quality Control
  • Render and review outputs to ensure they meet brand, performance, and platform requirements.
  • Troubleshoot animation, asset alignment, or rendering issues.
  • Maintain high visual fidelity and smooth playback across all ad formats.
